Do you want to help? We’re now looking for volunteers!

needed in September!

Fall brings with it the promise of the new school year–even for those of us who aren’t in school any more!  It’s a time of new beginnings, and nowhere is this more true than at Artistri Sud.  We are gearing up for another year of impact in the communities where we work and are currently looking for volunteers to help make this happen!

What kinds of volunteers do you need?

So happy you asked!  Below is a sample of some of the current volunteer openings–it’s just a selection!  For more information, please send us an email at  If you’re interested in contributing and don’t see your interest or skill set reflected here, send us an email anyway, with a CV and a short description of what your interests are and we’ll get it to the right team for follow up.  All roles require a commitment of about 2-5 hours per week, including meetings, depending on the role.  Get in touch for more details.

The Awards Committee Chair manages and oversees the awards process for our biggest fundraiser of the year, Tales of Triumph, held at the end of February.  Each year, we recognize members of the business community with two awards for outstanding women entrepreneurs–Entrepreneur and Social Entrepreneur of the Year, along with two other important awards.  This role is perfect for someone who wants to help organize an event, is familiar with (or is interested in getting to know!) the Montreal business and entrepreneurship community, and is passionate about the cause of women’s empowerment.  This position is based in Montreal.

Several key roles are open on the Communications Team, which is responsible for creating content for and managing our social media presence, websites, newsletters, video, letter-writing campaigns, Powerpoint presentations, leaflets and more! These roles are perfect for those who have good writing skills and good instincts about communicating, generally, and can work to a deadline.  If you have some experience in marketing or communications, even better!  But we also train people with no formal work experience–so if communicating is your passion, get in touch!  Although there are weekly team meetings, they can also be done remotely.

Our Program Development team is responsible for creating and implementing Artistri Sud’s powerful life-changing entrepreneurship and empowerment programs!  If you’re looking to be the change, this is where the rubber meets the road.  We’re now looking for a project manager to coordinate all the very important tasks that need doing before we go to the field–logistics, travel, procurement, printing, etc.  It’s exciting and critical (and urgent!).  This position is for you if you’re reliable and can manage several priorities at once.  Spanish is essential since you’ll be liaising with our partners in Latin America and sometimes with our Team Leaders (who are participants in our programs).  Note that this is not a field position!  It can be done remotely.

This is where the magic happens–in the field, October 20 to 28, 2017.  You are energetic, fluent in Spanish and English, and can manage multiple priorities with a cool head–because you’re the person responsible for making the program run smoothly on the ground.  This includes everything from supporting the trainer in the classroom to liaising with kitchen staff to make sure meals are on time.  It’s exciting and action-packed and it is not a holiday.  Perfect for a tireless, responsible team-player with an international development or other Arts/Humanities background.  You love other cultures and are committed to empowerment.  Deadline for application is September 15, or until we find the right candidate.  Training is provided.

We are also recruiting members of the board with expertise in the following areas: law, communications, marketing and business.  Board members are experienced professionals who support the organization’s achievement of its mission and help raise needed funds.  Please contact us for more information.  Please send your CV so we can better respond.

If any of these are of interest, don’t delay!  Send us your CV and a quick note expressing the area or role you’re interested in and why to  We want to have all available positions filled by the end of September.
