ASSET program: impressive impacts after just one year
Participants report important impacts in key areas of personal and business lives.
In September, 2014, Artistri Sud visited the women who participated in the first intensive entrepreneurship program the year before. The goal of our researchers was to find out what the impacts of the program were on participants.
The objective of Artistri Sud’s innovative 5-day training program, ASSET (Artistri Sud Social Entrepreneurship Training) is to build women’s capacity to generate sustainable revenues from their existing craft skills, and in so doing, empower them to effect positive change in their households and communities.
The ASSET program is followed by a year-long coaching program which supports the women as they integrate the learnings into their everyday personal and business practices, with the goal of supporting them to have meaningful impacts across all areas of their lives.
The impacts of these two programs were significant in Bolivia. Here’s a glimpse:
After 5 days, the women reported that they now saw themselves as leaders and entrepreneurs.
After one year, the women’s revenues had increased on average by 57%.
In addition, the women reported better relationships with their children, as well as improved communication with everyone in their lives.
The graphic below provides a snapshot of meaningful impacts reported by participants which they attributed directly to the ASSET program.
This summer, Artistri Sud will replicate the results of its Bolivia project, helping 20 Mapuche women in Chile!
